Symbiote Invasion is a Tumblr event similar to the Pony Prom 2012, with a main Villain and a big story for everyone who partecipates. The main Villain has fused the majority of the tumblrpon dimensions creating some kind of “Shared Dimension” that is going to die soon because of the forced fusion of the dimensions. Every character from every different Tumblr can choose to help other characters to fight the main Antagonists and find out why they did this,or can choose to fight the environment, full of Symbiotes that tries to take over every creature they find.

WHAT IS A SYMBIOTE?

For the ones that don’t know what a Symbiote is, the beings known simply as “Symbiotes” are a conquering, parasitic race. They tend to force their hosts to perform spectacular and terrifying feats in order to feed off of the resulting rush of adrenaline (and possibly other hormones, such as phenethylamine). Eventually, these host beings would be sucked dry, exhausted by the constant stress and exertion, or simply die in a failed stunt.

The Symbiotes used in this event however are not used to kill their hosts,so they will do whatever they can to remain attached to the same host without dying or killing it.

WHAT CAN THEY DO?

These Symbiotes have a large amount of powers when fused with a host,such as:

• Symbiotes can control the actions of their hosts.
• Symbiotes that have fully bonded with their hosts have a more biologically complex symbiosis with their hosts, and can share thoughts and memories with them. 
• The symbiotes are said to have ‘genetic memory,’ and can read the memories of others of their kind by absorbing chunks of their material.
• Symbiotes tend to be dense, and can absorb even the force of bullets before they reach their hosts.
• All symbiotes have the ability to form tendril-like psuedopods. 
• They have the power to form solid appendages from their bodies, and have been shown to form spikes, talons, and blades.  The symbiotes can gain the ability to form more solid appendages if exposed to the environment for a long enough period of time.
• Symbiotes have the ability to process breathable gases when the host normally cannot breathe (for example, in water).
• Symbiotes can expand to any limit in order to cover any host or object.
• Symbiotes can gave to their hosts Super Strength.
• Symbiotes are highly resistant to physical injury, capable of withstanding assault from high-caliber bullets as well as attacks from super powered individuals.
• Symbiotes are also capable of surviving in harmful areas for long periods of time such as underwater or in toxic gases, the symbiote filtering breathable air to the host.
• Additionally, the symbiotes are capable of healing injuries in the host at a faster rate than normal human healing allows. The symbiotes are also capable of healing injuries and illnesses that current human medical care cannot such as cancer.
• Symbiotes also replicates Spider-Man’s ability to cling to walls by controlling the flux of inter-atomic attraction between molecular boundary layers.
• Symbiotes can also use the same substance comprising the symbiote in the form of constituent black matter or goo, and uses it in this method for lethal force.
• Symbiotes can morph sections of their body, such as their hands or feet, into spikes, blades, axes or a shield.

THE SYMBIOTES’ WEAK SPOT?

They are really afraid of fire and loud noises,if you use these on them they may choose to leave their host.

WHERE ARE WE?

We are in a “Shared Dimension” created by an unknow Villain,the city is Canterlot,but because of the compression of the Dimensions,some of the places from other dimensions can be found here. It’s a mix of every dimension with Canterlot as a base for everything.

WHAT CAN I SUBMIT?

If you have an asktumblr with one or more characters,you can send your story in this event. it can be anything:text,pictures and audio. I will post everything on the tumblr “Symbiotes-Invasion.tumblr.com”

What? No. Just like the prom your character can be everything,the important thing is that it’s from your asktumblr.

WHEN DOES IT START?

It starts the 26/27 of June. It doesn’t have an End Date yet because i don’t know how much it will take for me to finish the story arc for this. In fact i think it’s going to last for a month or 2,even 3,to gave all the partecipants time to finish their stories (and for me to finish mine).
